Here's the deal: every time I restart my computer, my homepage goes back to http://globe-finder.cc/ no matter what I do or if I set it to something else. I've tried using Ad-aware to see if it was a file on my computer or something, but that doesn't work either. I want to be able to set my own homepage!! Does anyone have a clue what's going on/ how to fix it?

<asks the obvious> Have you tried changing the url to what you would like in Internet Options?

(in browser (assuming you use Internet Explorer)) Tools > Internet Options > General Tab

Aside from using a better browser, have you tried deleting all your temp internet files and cookies and such? Not too sure if it'll help, but it's worth a shot.

If you can't fix it, just get your firewall to block that webpage.

Before I got a new hard drive, I had gotten fed up with this same problem and downloaded Mozilla. It was quite nice. I'm installing again  ...

You have been browser hijacked there are a some programs that will undo browserhijackingd (look at download.com) also use adaware and/or spybot search and destroy, they will get rid of any spyware on your comp and may undo the browser hijack.

Yep, try Adaware or spyboy or something... although recently I had to help a friend with something that couldn't be cleared by those programs and redirected his browser to idgsearch.com, had to spend half an hour finding and deleting stuff from the registry

Look for "Startpage Guard". Worked OK for me.

Or try editing the registry key where that information is stored ... should be somewhere on the net how to do that ... www.google.com

Gah, that virus pissed me off to no end. You definitely need to use AdAware a few times to get rid of it and be sure of it and then patch IE.
