i made a 2 story glass maze for counter-strike (pistols and knifes only), not very big, but it took me 4 minutes to get from 1 end to the other..and up to the 2nd floor, you can barely see the glass walls which is good, just the the fair glass maze we ahve here in the city where i live, i started running it thinking i was heading right for the exit, and BOOM right it a glass wall and my head started to bleed, the floor and ciling separating the floors is see-through too, which is good, you can see the oposite team moving around up top, and they can see you down below, i think a couple more tests in different grafic modes (software, open_gl) and i think it will be done... i cant get screenies... but ill try all you can see is the outer walls, the ladders, the very bottom floor, and very top ciling, and a glitter of what may appear to be walls, but looks more like empty room, do you guys have any feed back?

"Quality rather than quantity, the way of the mapper"

But anyway, I hope you haven't put HE grenades in :grenade:

As for the map, I think you should concentrate on architecture a bit. Maybe a pillar in the middle, or some beans across the ceiling, or a bridge above the room with doors at each end. Something to break up the 6 walls + stuff theme.

Also, you'll want to use the JPEG optimiser at xat.com because I looked at one of the JPEGs on the site and it was about 230k. If you make it about 50k you won't lose too much quality, but definitely nothing more than 100k.

OK I'm going to tell you what most people here are thinking, but as some of our flock seem to be lost, they won't say it. This map is niether unique(been done over and over before), nor interesting(basically a killbox). While I do applaude your motives I think you should take a look at some of the more popular maps for counterstrike and see what makes them so popular. If , in fact you are relatively new to mapping than this is not a half bad effort at all (based on the screenies ,that is), but hardly worth releasing. Keep honing those mapping skills and you yourself will see improvement comes in leaps and bounds with this gaming engine. Good luck on future mapping.

I agree with Juin ... it's more a killbox then a map, but it's a step towards a real good map.

Keep up the (nearing "good") work !
