Juim wrote me a PM. He had a wonderful idea. It would however require a bit of cooperation from you guys.
How would you feel about moi doing some reviews and critiques offline? I mean, my being offline and writing them but uploading them say once a week or somesuch?
I would be willing to commit a bit of time but I would ask that you post direct links to said maps. My time at a local library would be very limited so my actually looking up links would not really be practical.
I still have HL 1 and HL2 set to offline mode so looking at said maps wouldn't be to difficult, however the actual downloading and uploading would be.
So, if you are interested, please feel free to use this thread. I will send the link to my own PM to myself so I will have a quick access to it even if it becomes buried.
Thanx Juim. This will make me feel a part of things, even while away. You can tell obviously by my absence, that being here will take some effort so please help me to help you.

To everyone concerned:
Please specify W.I.P. or Finished.
Its not like I will know beforehand and there is a definite difference between the structures of a critique and a review.
Thanx in advance.
And as usual, all I request is that you mention me by name. I am not "The guys at Snarkpit"

Orph, will this be specifically for HL and HL2 only?
Good idea btw, and it's very generous of you.

Hmm, thats a good question.
I have Quake 4 and all the unreals save U3 and Doom 3 as well. So I reckon its up to you.
If its something I cannot do, we'll deal with it then.

We've catered for all the current mods, and larchy tells me it's quite simple to categorise other games for map classification so I don't see why it can't be extended to the games $loth mentioned above.

And when is the pit going to let you select to set your map as ether TF2 or Portal map?

See  Now you all must sacrifice one piece of livestock to the venerable greatness that is larchy, king amongst men.
Something like that anyway.

That's alright. I'll just track your address and come do the "dog poo in a flaming paper bag" trick on your doorstep. Be afraid.
BE VERY AFRAID.
