Ok, my next map is op4_Skyscraper.....but i want to put elevators in a deathmatch map....

1)Is that possible?

2)If it is, is it worth it?

3)If its worth it, Any ideas how to make them?

Ahh, ok, well here is my goal....I want to have a tall building (amount of stories i havent figured out yet) with 2 elelvators so that they are back to back in the center of the map, then i want them to be able to pic up players on the bottom floor and drop them off at the top.  At the top, i'm going to have a spherical death areana (yes, you could call it a kill box, but theres killing in the offices as well, and the elevators).  Think of the top floor as a lounge....and all the other floors will look like offices.

multiple floors.. with multiple stops?

you will need more than a func_door..

we had a tut or two on what you need.. but i dunno if they made it to V4..

search for them.. or go to  http://www.ejoop.com/pfl/   and search out a prefab and copy its working parts..

I learned how to do multifloor elevators from this:
http://collective.valve-erc.com/index.php?doc=1047964377-43297800

it's pretty damn good if you ask me. Maybe get this on SP?

I took the liberty of editing your response into an answer, Ryandor, because that is indeed the most comprehensive tutorial on multi-level elevators out there.

i would like to reiterate, anyone is welcome to post any tut they like, as long as they give ample credit, where credit is due...

it is always best to attempt to contact the author of anything borrowed, but as we all know, email address's are seldom permanent affairs, so IMO, if the credit is all pointed towards the author, no issues should arise..

Yes, I should have given better credit in the first place! Sorry about that.
