Felt like making a topic like this. So, is anyone here going to travel to a different country for a few weeks this summer? We already know it about Riven ofcourse though heh :D

I am going to Greece, to an island called Samos for a week (well.. 8 days).

What about you?

Also, what are your favorite things to do on your holiday destinations?

If I find the most resistant batteries and get my memory card back from Sofia before the 10-th of July, I'll be able to make a lot of photos of mount Rila. And I hope that this summer I'll make a lot of textures for "Citizen arms".

It's actually very depressing for me to see you mention this. My dad, and my younger brother left for Croatia yesterday. My older brother is leaving tomorrow. I am left here with my mum, because I want to focus on my University studies, and here in Australia, it's only the winter holidays (as of today!!:)) and only a couple of weeks holidays.

I know it's freezing! But I think I like it better than the uncomfortable heat.

What do you mean with freezing? You are nearer to the equator than me, so I don't think it's that freezing (in comparison with the usual winter at my country).

Talking of weather, here in Bulgaria the summer has decided to arrive earlier than usual (it usually does that). Unfortunately, they don't allow us to ware summer cloths. They allow us to ware long jeans and shirts. And this combined with the higher than 25 degree centigrade temperatures (we've just got used with the pleasant 20 degree centigrade) it turns into total... total... I can't find a good word for it.

By the way, I didn't find my old Olympus xD card (I doubt that it can be used for my camera), but I bought a new SanDisk SD one and good batteries with a charger. So now I'm ready for the mountains.

Only? I'm not really surprised that it's too cold for you. It's normal. You live between the temperate zone and the torrid zone (if I'm not mistaken). I live in the middle of the temperate zone where the temperatures can reach -20 degrees Celsius at night. Actually Varna is built on the Black sea's coast So, the weather is either wormer than normal (it's usually like this) or allot colder than normal (happens from time to time), but never normal. But try to imagine how cold it can become in Russia during the night (around -35 degree centigrade I think).
Right now, the weather is quite rainy and worm. No, it's not quite rainy, it's too rainy for that part of the season. And it's so worm, that there is steam raising from the roads.

Let me guess- you live in a block of flats. I live in a house. There is a bed in the basement- the most cold place in the house during the summer (but I don't sleep in it, I'm OK when I'm sleeping on my mom and dad's bed(it's so nice to sleep in a large bed) ). So one of the many solutions for escaping the heat, is to sleep in the basement :D . Or you can try eating ice, having baths with cool water e.t.c.

Yeah us Aussies should really be worried about the hot days more than the cold days, because it never really goes below 0°C. Back when I lived in Central Europe, it would get to -20°C, where your lungs would hurt if you took a long breath. Here, nobody knows what this is, so everyone feels absolutely frozen at temperatures like 5°C. Worst thing though is if you don't have an air conditioner in your room during the summer. It just gets incredibly uncomfortable and sticky. You have a cold shower, you feel fine for half an hour, then it's back to humid and sticky..

I understand. At my country 25-30 degree is hot. But at the middle of the summer it's usually higher then 37 degree. Like I said in my previous post, I live in a house, and the coldest place is the basement. But the PC room (where I sleep) has only two windows, so there isn't much sunlight getting inside.
Hmmm, that thread is becoming a "What's the weather at you country" thread.

No, I live in a house as well. Sadly we don't have a basement though :)

I do have a ceiling fan in my room, but it's too far away from my bed. But we will move it closer to my bed later this month. That will really help a lot.

And yeah, this thread has nothing to do with holidays anymore lol! Maybe we should get back to topic.

Edit: Oh I didn't see I already passed the 400 post amount :D

It's pretty odd actually, it seems like I see you in every topic, and yet you have a little more than half of my posts. I mean, you would think you already have around 500 posts or something :D

Well, if he's like me, then I understand the habit of choosing your words wisely. Or more importantly, when to speak and if it's worth it. Because in a forum, everyone's voice get's heard. So, it becomes more important to make you words count; at least for me it does. ...somewhat... :nag:

heh, well ya I think you do. I mean, I can't recall an uninteligable comment by you anytime recently.

I'm sure I've made a few silly/stupid comments though.
