Hey everyone,

I'm going to Greece tomorrow night for a week :hee:
Just thought of letting you know that I won't be posting for a while.

I am going to an island called Samos. Anyone heard of it?

Thanks :), will do.

Right now I'm just making some final preparations, like putting some more music on my mp3 player. Although I can't really find any more good ones :D

I was on one the Cyclades, Paros, some years ago. Awesome relaxation.

That was before sunscreen was a real thing to deal with! Don't forget to be prepared for the insane temperatures if you're not used to it

Hey Samos, I've never really studied about that place, but such old cities always have enough history to fill entire books with that affect all of humanity. You'll probably see a lot.

The one thing I do know of Samos, is that that's the place where Pythagoras was from. (The guy who invented the Pythagorean theorem we all use).

Enjoy the trip, and remember, you can never have too many pictures!

Well maybe you can. Unless you're actually going into photography :|

Enjoy it for the best and heck if you find yourself having a lot of free time, feel free to perhaps blog away for us all here on the Pit. I'll definitely read that. Study the place from an angle you might be interested in. Like for example, you could perhaps relate games and the island of Samos in some way. Or any way you'd approach the experience really.

Just a thought I suppose. Blogs are a real good way to remember a place because you have to think about what you did at places and what you thought about them.

Good luck! :hee:

Oh, didn't know that. Learn something new every day.:)

Taking a lot of photos and videos is a great idea. My brother is overseas at the moment and I've told him to take photos of everything, even the grass and walls, for textures. You can probably now see where I'm going with this - you can make a fantastic map of the place/places. I plan to make a Single Player mod that's set in the area I was born in. Of course, that won't be for at least 10 years..

Hello everyone!
I'm finally back! :D

A lot of thing has happened, including a fire in the woods.
I was able to see all of it from my apartment.

I bought myself an awesome lambda necklace (lambda = the logo of HL, it's a Greece symbol.)

I've seen the Pythagoras statue as well. Basically I've seen everything on the island. We had a car for 4 days and the island is pretty small.

No blog though, I had no internet over there, and taking a laptop on a vacation is not my kind of thing tbh.

Pictures and videos later!
