Note to everyone, fallout 3 new vegas should not be bought for anything over $19.99. Would you like to pay more than 20 bucks for:

The same engine
Same Textures
Same Monsters
Same Guns
More Bugs
Same background story

but different story line? I know I wouldn't.

I wouldn't have you, or anyone, spend more than 40$ on COD:Black Ops. Its not all that great. That 40$ could be better spent on TF2 in-game items :p

That's a good question, I play a bit of TF2; it's my current 'default' game if I don't feel like doing anything else. I can't convince myself it worth it to spend any money on the in-game items. And they're not cheap! So far I've crafted or unlocked everything I own. I haven't bothered to trade simply because I don't like interacting with players beyond shooting them... Even though they may have good intentions and patience that outweighs mine, I'd rather not sift through the inevitable crowds of impatient teenagers who won't wait a minute to discuss a good deal.

Regardless, I'm waiting to see if COD:Black Ops goes on sale on Steam, because I've had quite a blast playing the Nazi Zombies mode in that game. That's soo much fun with friends. I would totally buy that if it were stand-alone. :uncertain:

Yeah those items (I think anyways) are very over priced. I've done some trading with other players, you just ask if someone wants to trade two of something for one of another. EG: I traded 2 winter crates for a black box, now that I have that I can play as soldier longer and not get pissed, as a result I'll "find" more items as they drop.

Which brings up a point: I think TF2 is migrating more towards clan based gameplay, or at least a collection of related people. I would do it more with people I know, but no one ever seems to be on TF2.

In defense of the new Fallout-Vegas, the graphics or maybe the feel of the game looks much sharper/clearer. Also I intended to replay it in the new hardcore mode. That in itself sounds intriguing enough to warrant replayability.

Anywhos, anyone whom would not pay or play it because the similarity to the Washington version is depriving themselves. If we all had that mindset then HL1 wouldn't have been played much past 2000. I cannot recall anything unique enough to point and say "THAT'S NEW" even in the obviously different OP4. Sure the weapons were new but not new enough to alter the theme of HL1.

I hate to think where Snarkpit would be now with Zein's limited view of gaming value/playability was shared by the masses.

I got the news this morning that Orion, my dog (who is 12), has primary lung cancer. It can't be biopsied because it'll spread the cancer cells and a surgery to remove the lung lobe is extremely dangerous.

Merry Christmas.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

[*]This is where I try to post something sympathetic.

Damn Adam, sorry bud.

[*]This is where I post something logical, but sadly not as heartfelt.

Dogs generally live 8-10 years for big breeds and 10 to 17 years for small ones. Your dog was gonna pass soon anyway.

[*]This is where I get mushy.

I feel for'ya bud. After my dog died, I was so beat up about it I refused to ever get another. If you like, I can stop in next time I'm in Oregon and give you a hug.

Question: how many here have Civ 5 and/or are getting it. I wanna play live members too.

I bought it when it came out, but I don't play enough to warrant getting any of the paid DLC.

Although I do have all the Civ IV expansions. It can be such a time consuming game for just one game.
Now even though I haven't gotten the DLC I will say that the new one feels kind of empty. There doesn't feel like as much content as Civ IV when it first came out. But I guess I'll just wait until all the DLC goes on sale, or if they include it all in one big expansion.

Mine came with "The Cradle of Civilization Map Pack: The Americas"
Steam has yet to update fully so I will have to let you know exactly what this means but it has something to do with Central America. So I am betting Inca or Aztec maybe.

All I know is it has its own activation code and I have to download it.

Sorry to hear that Chrono, losing a couple guinea pigs wasn't easy, can't imagine what it'd be like for a dog.

I personally got a whole butt-ton of games for the holiday sales:

[*]Splinter Cell: Conviction
[*]Killing Floor

And uh... Yeah, that's about it. I know, I'm super rich.

20-inch flat screen monitor (which compared to my previous monitor is a pretty awesome deal)

The games I bought with my spending money.

Left 4 Dead (Finally)
Garry's Mod (Huzzah for this!)
Team Fortress 2 (Same as GMod)
Counter Strike: Source (Meh, I didn't really care for the first one but this came with GMod)
Super Meat Boy (Fairly good game here)

And I still have like $100 left for extra RAM for my computer or something extra.
Now remember kids. Asking questions is a good way to get censored by the government.

For christmas I got:
  • money, more than I would expect :D
  • nice pair of sun glasses
  • a skull neck chain
  • this shirt for my dog
  • two shirts for me
  • Halo Reach (about time I'm a terrible Halo fan)
  • christmas pudding which I didn't really want to eat so I gave it away
