New Logo

So here we are. It's 2011 going on to 2012 and SnarkPit is still kicking it.

I've been meaning to make a bumper sticker promoting the site for my car for ages and I finally found the will power to sit down this holiday season and do it.

However when attempting to make it at the resolution I wanted, I found I needed to create sort of new content instead of stretching the current and past ones and have them look crummy.

I've posted these before, but here is the evolution since I've been here of the SnarkPit Logo:

2003 Leperous version: 2008 (2009 officially; courtesy of G4MER a.k.a. Muhnay): in 2010 our friends over at the OS League [UPDATE: Site defunct, idk what happened since. OSL Steam Page for promotional purposes had their resident site designer develop a quick tag-friendly logo and approve it with us for showing on their site. By the time I figured I liked it, all that was left was the small .jpg they used shown below: I still liked it, so I decided to use it as inspiration, while also calling upon the previous ones for reference in identity. Here's what I came up with: I made it from scratch, so I've organized my .psd to allow for editing it in minute ways and of course at higher resolutions to use for other promo stuff. But before going any further with it, I wanted to garner you guy's opinion on it, and see what you would change about it, if anything at all? or keep or revert back to the current or old ones?

Either way I had fun making this and just wanted to throw it past ya. If anything, it'll become my new bumper sticker!

Also I actually have a list of possible new/alternative slogans we could use, but it's just not with me atm. (in a couple of weeks I'll be with it again). But if you guys have suggestions for different slogans, or arguments to the contrary, I'd like to hear your opinion.

Also ANYONE is welcome to throw in their two cents. Outsiders and lurkers alike, feel free to chime in and tell us what you think about the site and the logo. Is it still confusing?

I actually like it. Especially the text itself.

The glow effect on its first and second leg from left to right look a little bit pixelated. It looks like a white stroke that should't be there,

but that is the best critique I can come up with :P meaning I really like this one. Great fonts too!

I like it all except the Snarkpit link.
It needs to be another color and font style IMO.

My reasoning.. The entire thing feels newish, more modern style/feel then you get to the link and its blah.

Try either tan or teal.. My preference is teal. As for the font... I dunno. I ain't privy to all the styles you have already tried. I just feel this one ain't it.

Perhaps... Lose the WWW and leave snarkpit.net.
The WWW seems redundant.

Make it BOLD text and change the color like some said. But otherrwise it's great.

I always liked the idea of the text being placed in the environment. I've seen it done in games and movie intro credits, like this: So if you take that idea along with typical level design cliches like crates, wireframe, metal tile/dev textures etc somebody might be able to come up with something pretty unique! I started messing around with something and it's not really appealing but you get the idea
