I looked on the features bit which says the results will be anonounced soon. It been like that for ages. When did it end, and who one? You have my permission to execute me if this has already been resolved.

Heh, I still haven't finished half the maps I started for the last comp yet  As long as its not a sci-fi themed competition i'd probably be interested...

Yes I seem to remember that some great maps came out of that one.

I vote castles! I can do castles...

Seriously though, if there is another comp, pick a good theme again that'll result in some maps different from the norm. The last two comps have done a good job of this and prompted the release of some very unique maps in terms of theme and appearance

What about wooded areas (Forest of sorts)?

(Castle kick ass but they scream Wolfenstien way too much lol
not that there's anything wrong with that)

Anyway, I'd enter (and get thruoughly beaten) but I have no time durring the term, and Spring Break is only a week long, however, Next term I wont have Programming Systems (I'm passing it this time goddammit). Anyway, Woods are cool . . . if done right, but what mod would it be for? Or Is it for HL? (Not saying there is a competition, but if there were one)

A Sven competition would be cool too (who can make the best coop map of sorts, which means there could be loading, right?)

Anyway, damn, I really wish I had time.

We do want to be able to play these maps afterwards.. In my experience, making a full outdoor map (that isnt the Black Mesa desert themed) especially a forest would be quite hard..

Thus a compitition in it . . . lol

If you can design a forest that is fun to play in, then you'd definatly win it. Also, I didn't say forest only, there could be some houses and such as well, but some sort of wooded area should be in the map was what I was saying. If done right, it makes for amazing game play, however, few have achieved it, so, it would also make for a good compitition to see who can make the funnest forest themed map.

Mountain sides are awesome in maps, especially if they have look out towers and sniper files.

Finger's map was dead sexy. My roommate and I played a couple hours on it one night - oh man.

I would  I didn't do anything in the last one except for a few pants style tests which were pants! A chance to avenge that would be sweet  Also a map release wouldn't hurt
