ooooh, at last.
two more hours and we can all dl the new steam update that'll allow offline play.
.................which also means two more hours 'till i find out if these damn door-things work................. :sad:

After 3 hours, and a post saying the servers are back up....
"Steam is temporarily unavailable, please try again later"

Well, the login screen shows up, but the Steam network still seems to be down. I can't access it at all, and it's been happening to a few others.

wow i open steam and it downloads and says steams not avaliable so i exit and click it aganin and still says it... and now when i click it.... it doesnt even open.. wow im h8ted alot haha

Yes, the steam network is completly down at the moment.
But you guys wanted it offline :biggrin: (just kidding) I'm sure there's just an overwhelming amount of people simultaniously trying to download from them or something like that.

There's an easy way to check to see if Steam is up or not, just try going to their site, since it's running on the same servers, you'll know
Kind of makes their status page usless, huh?

SO.. how the hell does the offline feature work? I'm trying to set up a LAN game and all I can seem to do is start a net game.
