How do I extract a Sky envrioment out of Steam so I can edit it? I want
to use the DoD Sky ( ava ) and make it a night sky texture with the
buildings and all that for a DoD map I am working on. Any ideas?

GCF Scape, yo.

You can extract anything you want out of the gcf files that are steam cached files. You can then edit anything you want as long as you knew how prior to steam. When you're done put it in the day of defeat/dod/gfx/env directory. It will probably be a good idea to rename the sky images, then include them in hammer like always.

this my friend, is an editing question and should be there, so cash can be in charge over it..

basically, you needed a program that can export the needed stuff from the pak..

lep this needs moved for database purposes i think..
