I use Firefox, but meh, Mozilla is close enough. Though I do use IE6 when Firefox decides not to display a page the way it was meant to be.

Sort of, it's developed by the same people at least.

It's a smoother and more rounded version I think. I use it all the time - I now find using public computers with IE only annoying because I miss having some of the features of mozilla, particularly the tabbed browsing.

I like IE because I am use to the setup, and change makes me "rawr!11" all over the place.

Mozilla is b0rked by my new XP themeing anyway, and how could you not love the IE banter when it looks like this?

You mean when people don't follow W3 standards? lol.

Also, Lep if you really wanted you could make an entire custom skin for Mozilla, you can for IE as well, but it's just easier with Mozilla.

My main grabbag for Mozilla is that well, it's faster. In that I notice a speed difference when using it (So have other people I've turned to it). I LOVE the mail client. and the SSH utilities, but you know me, I'm a Linux kind of guy....don't say it, I'll kill you lol. And don't say "but I have to now" because I mentioned it . . . .

However, Mozilla's predicesor, Netscape, has turned to utter s**t through commercialization. Also, wasn't FireFox/FireBird, at some point, the beta of the next version of Mozilla?

Yeah firefox and firebird are supposed to be beta quality technology previews for mozilla, but they seem more like release candidate quality than beta quality to me. I'm pretty sure there is an IE6 skin for firefox. I don't see ahything on that screenshot that you can't have with firefox - google search and customisable popup blocking are already there without installing a third party plugin. You can also easily block banner adds in firefox, which is good because now some sites don't have any adverts for me

Allright- firefox users- do you know of ANY way to get rid of the annoying "circular scrolly dealy thing" that pops up when you click the middle mouse button? I dug around for a while in the settings, but couldn't find anything on it (I use that button to activate my mouse-guestures and to open pages in new tabs- and it's incredibly annoying trying to do a mouse guesture while the page flies up and down).

Anyone even know what I'm talking about?

That's a Windows setting... Try going to your mouse properties and "re-programming" that button. Mozilla and Firefox don't have any button programming.... but that would be cool if they did..

I use Epiphany, which is the GNOME (Linux, you clods  ) browser. It uses Mozilla's Gocko rendering engine.

No... The function isn't windows dependant... At least I don't think so. I was using mozilla 1.5 with the same bindings, and the damn thing never showed up...

I'll double check though when I get back to school though...

Yeah, is it the middle mouse thing? Like it brings up a vertical arrow and you just move the mouse to scroll up and down? If so, that's configured in Windows. It doesn't work in Mozilla 1.5 or 1.6 for that matter, which is fine by me ... I hate that damn scroll crap, page down works best for me  .

I'm not too fond of the GNOME Desktop. I've come to accept KDE ... but GNOME just bugs me ...

Actually, I use Xfce more than GNOME, but Xfce is like GNOME light.

Penguins Unite!

Anyway. I usually use the flat Linux/Unix interface. Unless I need a window for some reason.

You mean you don't run X at all? What, so are you viewing this in lynx or something?

No, I have more then one computer and a laptop

This computer, at the moment, I have running ... Windows, I'm sorry. It's just so I can play games. I'll be putting Gentoo and WhineX on it at some point.

And no, I don't use lynx lol.
I mean for general use of my Linux machine, I use it in command line mode. (and mine actually had a command line that runs X, it's pretty cool. it's text with a really nice background  Good 'Ol SuSE)

Also, on my Linux box X decided to stop working ... I honestly can't figure out what happened, but I haven't had a whole lot of time to mess with it.

Yep.

However, I mostly use that for loging into my school ... and when checking my email with

Mozilla Mail Client

"Thanks, No, leave the check over there"

... anyway.
