Like 2 bsps becoming 1 bsp? Or simply connecting them so when you get to the end of the 1st it goes to the next? You said you got the change level entity to work so I assume the first.
You can't make 2 files into one unless you made your little SP scenario into a pak file and put the maps in that, then theres only 1 pak file, but inside theres still 2 bsps... To make a Pak file you need the pak explorer or Pak scape program (in the files section).
Or just zip it lol

No offence or anything, but your thinking too much into it, just make sure that the two maps are in the same area, basicaly your valve\maps folder, assuming the map is for HL, or what you can do is put them in a pak file like Myrk- said.

Not sure why you would want to turn them into 1 file but as long as they aren't huge .bsp's you could just copy and paste 1 level into the other and recompile the whole thing. Might take a while but if you do it right it will only take one time. Although I could have completely misinterpreted this post.

You can zip them, or PAK them, or better yet, zip the PAK. Make sure the pak is called pak*.pak where * is a number. Say youve already got pak0 and pak1, youll want to call this one pak2.
