Yeah, they have ragdoll phyics in Max Payne 2, UT2k4 and a lot of other games coming out. It's fun in Max Payne 2 when you turn god mode on and unlimited ammo and just keep nading the hell outta an old ladie.

Bad choice of words.......my apologies for that...
I didn't mean to bust down on the Unreal engine, I was trying to bust down on the game itself.

/me beats Bruce for ignorance
No worries  . Sure, Postal 2 DID get repeditive after awhile, but I liked the Level Design (To an extent of course). It was fun for a while, but then I got bored.
Althought Share the Pain was pretty fun (Online  )

yeah the karma stuff in Unreal engine is pretty simple... nice for dead bodies and vehicles (especially exploding vehicles) but not on the level of the Havoc2 stuff.
of course, Havoc is compatible with almost any game engine, so... whether your game is Unreal or HL2 Source engine or whatever you can license it for use.

Rag doll physics are cool and all, but for them to be realistic they need boundrys. All the examples I've seen of Rag doll physics there are no tendon restrictions, meaning their arms flail around and they flop unrealistically. I think if they added proper movement restriction, and had some better handling for friction with other objects, it would be good enough to call realistic for me.
However, Rag doll physics are cool and fun to watch.

I love them too. Long gone are the days when rigor morits set in a little too early and corpses were suspended over stairs.
It's very satisfying to see someone take a bullet to the stomach and watch them hit the wall and fall onto the ground in a heap.
