puts a 2.8E Prescott up against a 2.8C Northwood. With double the cache, is the Prescott superior? They wonder. Nope. They discover.
Ah! Stupid bastards!! When will people learn that the prescott isn't meant to be faster clock for clock!! Intel acheived something simply by making it run as fast as the northwood while doubling the pipeline. They never said it was going to run faster. Anybody who compares clock for clock E/C chips and concludes that prescott isn't very good is a complete fool.

2030?Judging by the way ValvE keeps making delays, i think that HL2 will be released in 2050.

They're going to have to delay it to update their engine pretty soon. In the mean time, Breed is where it's at

You don't know anything about valve.

This is their genious masterplan:
  • Summer 2006: HL2 release, steam network goes tits up for 2 months, then people get to play the game and realise they've waited a bit too long.
  • Autumn 2009: Official HL3 release date set on march 2010, release of a spankeh E3 video.
  • Winter 2010: Delay, but Gabe N. gets laid for the first time.
  • Winter 2020: Finally some news: "it's been a bad week, someone stole the code, blah blah blah, I've spilled coffee on my HD & my dog ate my pizza ..."
  • Autumn 2030: The pre-load HL3 function is enabled default in Steam V3 (requirements: third processor & a lot of patience), so the network goes tits up again for about 5 months.
  • Spring 2035: HL3 release.
