I play with bots alot... I never get a chance to play online. Unfortunately, some mods I have I dont have bots for, and if I ever try searching for some, I end up with pages of dead links.
Anyone know where I can get a bot for Science & Industry? HL Paintball? CSF?

I think there used to be some S&I bots, but i'd doubt if theyre still around and work with steam. unfortunately its just one of those mods (just like paintball) that doesnt enjoy popular enough support to have decent bots coded for it :/
and the nature of the gameplay of it also probably makes it quite difficult to make good bots.

I guess... and BTW I'm not a steam user.
How hard do you suppose it would be to code a bot?

Quite difficult unless you have some
prior knowledge of coding, specifically AI - scary_jeff is the man to
talk to, he used to run the definitive jumbot waypoint site, so knows a
fair bit about the HL bot world (I think!)
I wouldnt bother trying to learn C++ or attempting to a code a bot, its
not as easy as it sounds plus it's probably better to focus on your
studies at this point in time..

Unfortunately making waypoints doesn't need you to know anything about making bots. I know botman made some kind of temlate that can be a base for making a bot for any mod, but that's all I know... sorry.

NS bots are very accurate I've noticied, but aren't very good at turning around...

The only good bot I've used for HL was the HLDM bot Phineas. They weren't the brightest, but you could throw them into a beta map and find out the high traffic areas and the unbalanced sections. Too bad I don't have them anymore, or a real reason to use them...

Yea, it was kind of a joke, you know? Haha?
I said that because one of the biggest added features to CS:CZ is bots...

I know someone who bought it... apparently they are, but if youre making a commercial product, you really should make sure the bots are better than pod.
