Isnt it just soooo sexy? Flat black replaces the original white, and the gunmetal grey is... well.. still the same. I was going to change the mouse wheel to a piece of plexi and add a blue LED to it but I said nah... to much effort for now.

Can you even tell that the 2 rear pads were removed to expose the 2 screws?

And yes, since I cant find the digi cam, I took these off the webcam. I'd show my monitor, but its upstairs. Its easy to unplug a mouse and bring it down, a monitor is a lil different though.

That looks really profesional! What kind of paint was it again? It looks like a logitech mouse now  Did you use any primer or prepar the surface in any way?

Also, where can I get some new feet like the ones you had to remove to get at the screws? Mine are... well... screwed.

The last pic is just for jokes. I forgot to read. Especially the part circled in red... I painted in my basement... and got quite the headache after.

The only preping I did was to wash the plastic. Obviously I didnt just take it and toss it in the sink. I disassembled it, and took all the white (now black) parts and the grey parts and cleaned them. I didnt need to clean the grey parts as I didnt paint them, but they were dirty so I wanted them clean.

The cleaning was a mix of warm water and lots of Pin Sol. and scrubbing with a tooth brush. The I dried them with bounty towels and a hair dryer.

Thats all the prep work! No sanding required!

As for painting, shaking the can upside down for about 5 minutes. And I started the spray away from the pieces at about 8inches away and moved towards the pieces that way they would have a constant amount of paint.

The little feet tabs, I didnt buy any, I used the same ones again. and they are still stuck as if I never removed them.

heh wild card, which version is that? I have the 3.0 which has the 2 extra buttons both on one side instead of on opposite sides of the mouse. also it's gun metal gray except for the parts that are gunmetal gray in your mouse. they're a sort of darker gray in mine.

i would be guessing, but i'd say you have the IE 2.0? they have white with the extra buttons on opposite sides as i remember .. but anyway, nice job, it looks sweet
