You need to get a screenshot program that reads the video memory instead of the conventional method. I don't know the name of any, but this is what you want.
We actually already had this link twice in the HL2 sticky thread
a_s - don't like quicktime? Get Quicktime Alternative - plays mov/qt files in an old version of media player.

Juim, sorry to be a bother but could you post all HL2 related media in the sticky HL2 thread at the top of the forum?
It just saves the board being cluttered up same or similar posts/content
Cheers chief

I've noticed there is a copy command (ctrl,c) which appears to take a screen shot, but I cant find the destination folder, or anyway to access the file if it is indeed a screen capture.
Notice how I redirected this thread to not about HL2?

700MB?!? This thing is almost twice as large than the original Half-life!
Now lets see...hmm, with some patience and a spare month, i might just be able to download the low quality version.

the video was amazing.. as amazing as the rest of them, so.. if you have 56k and already saw the rest, don't bother.
the thing i noticed.. this video concentrates on "city 17" there seems to be some sort of subplot.
the thing that got me the most, the video user sure liked throwing stuff around with that new weapon
the bad guys are not invincible either so we should have some fun with it.
my attention (as a mapper) was on the items, textures, and the world interaction level... i liked what i saw.
lastly i want to add, most of the maps you saw in the video, were included with the taboo :heee: i already saw them.. for real, walked and drove around them ..

The detail and the textures/bump mapping/reflections in the appartment building are just amazing. The graphics looks slightly like 'claymation' to me, but definately the most realistic I have ever seen. One thing that bugged me was you know when he picks the container up with the crane? Well on the shadow, there is a darker patch where the shadow of the grabber part comes through the container. Apparently they are going to fix this bug, but I have also read that it is a fundemental property of the shadowing technique that they are using, and so can't be fixed. Not a big deal by any means, but I want perfection!
Does anyone know if there will be a flashlight in HL2? I haven't seen one in any video, but am interested to see how that looks (with shadow casting and stuff).

Looks like Barbra Streisand to me. Just not as ugly.

From what ive seen from the other videos, HL2 is going to be absolutly stunning! Maybe well finnaly be able to have a 100% realistic world without creating 1000 scripts.
