Yup looks pretty damned nice, worth keeping an eye on. The setting is more to my liking than the other Battlefield games too

The huge player count limits should help to spice things up.

Duncan, I love the modern setting too. Anyone else reminded of Black Hawk Down? Can't wait to play this. Crono recommended me a BF1942 total conversion called desert combat which puts it into a more modern setting with better weapons if you're interested in that. I downloaded but have yet to install it.
Kage, any word on wether it will support 100 players smoothly or will that be only viable on T1 connections?

Bleh, I'm a WWII fps fan. Not really into modern day stuff as nice as this looks. Guess I'll have to wait for a reverse BF1942 mod

I don't have Battlefield but it might be worth looking into I guess, I'm bored of HL based games and not really getting into UT2004 much (maybe I should actually give it a chance online before I jump to that conclusion however  ).

As a negative nancy, I will say bah humbug to this game because it's going to have retarded vehicle action, terrible lag, poor framerates, poor AI in single player, pitiful gun mechanics... and it's going to have a brilliant demo tricking me into thinking its awesome and worth spending $50, just like the first one.

In it's defense the first wasn't designed for single player. Admittedly the bots are pretty stupid.
I didn't have any issues with the framerates, especially considering the scale of things.
I'd buy this just to look at it.

I remember the BF1942 demo...man was that ever a joke. I load it up, half the stuff doesn't work and the sound is a constant high pitch screech.
