Two amazing maps. They make me wish I had halflife installed just so I could run around them.

The outside of Pipeline looks terrible.

Really good-looking maps, strong sense of place. I liked de_dam_final most, it's just... more impressive. cs_pipeline's rocks for example didn't really differ in height, making it less appealing than de_dam, wich had great vertical architecture.

Really nice textures used in both map, I must say... keep it up man!

I wouldn't say the outside of pipeline looks terrible, but running around it, it is a little odd. The texture stretching made me feel kind of small. Also, I know the rocks are simple to reduce r_speeds, but there could be a little more variation... it's mostly the same two brushes repeated over and over.

I liked dam a lot, the bombsites were particularly interesting. There was one small bug though, looking at the first screenshot, you can see ice. But if you go slightly to the left of where that was taken from, the ice suddenly changes colour and becomes semi-invisible? It won't affect gameplay at all... just that was the only negative thing I could find to say about the map

Overall, good jobs. Nice website to

I know you can't edit this map anymore, but, it would have been cool to make those ice patches over the water func_frictions, with a sliding value.

Also, in some areas ... I found the textures too nice, I know that sounds weird, but I was running into doors that weren't doors, because they all looked the same. (but that's a good thing). Maybe instead, you could have made them actual doors, with nothing behind them and made them permanently locked (with a locked sound).

The only other 'gripe' I would have is that, the car textures aren't anywhere near as sharp and crisp as the rest of the textures used in the map.

While I was playing, I wanted to be able to easily jump into the water from the roof ... can't make it easily :\ but it would have been nice to be able to do that. Also, (on that same roof) the ventilation shafts are fake, which kind of threw me off.

But other then all those minor things, this is a great map. I mean ... you actually made me run counter-strike

The connectivity is excelent, as is the detail and overall dynamics.

[EDIT]
This isn't a review, just some of my thoughts
[/EDIT]

I thought this would have been good to. I know it's funny watching n00bs trying to open a ake door like this over and over, but it doesn't help gameplay much. Like you say though, these are only very minor gripes.
