Just picked me up a Gameboy SP NES edition today. They only had enough for the people that pre-ordered them. It looks so cool.

If you want to label any company "the de facto" console maker, it should be Nintendo.. they did after all invent the control pad, the control stick, vibrating pads blah blah...

Basically they are the genius and leader, followed by Sega who lost out due to bad marketing, bad pad design and media malignment. Sony are just an electronics company tbh, a populist option. Still, they do have some good points on their consoles.
Yeah, that's because Nintendo was originally a card company from the 50s, and Sega was making games before them. I count arcade games as well. However, if you go that far back ... maybe Activision or Namco are the best

Also, marketting for Sega only sucked outside of Japan. Not to mention that was because the other branches were controlled seperatly.

Gorb, Awesome. I'd get a 'retro' one if I didn't already have an SP.

Why are people listing how many PCs they have (half of which are probably obsolete anyway) in a console thread? I hate it when people start doing some kind of psuedo-oneupmanship, even if they don't really realise they are doing it...

I'm quite looking forward to the PSP, depending on how modable it is. Seems like it could be a really powerful portable divx player with the right software. I know there's some kind of DRM, but I can't see that lasting more than a few months before being broken (just enough time for the prices to stabalise  )

The speed of the fans is determined by how fast your bus is

If the leds are on the fans then it becomes some sort of super-fast computer.

You should be putting your money to better use in regards to a computer system, especially when talking about games. Gorb's right, purely speaking of the speed of your processor means nothing. It's how well your system works as a whole. But this site as seen this conversation far too many times.

you intellectual knuckleheads

is humor so bereft around here that you must take it upon yourselves to disassemble it each time you come across it?

the topic of processor size was irrelevant in this case, the joke was on the nothin portion of the comment..

i'm off to Mount Holly,New Jersey.. i fully expect you people to work on your humor skills while i am away..

subtle humor can be rewarding, and funny if you chose to see it as such.

if you failed to see my joke as funny, thats ok too.. many suffer such short comings, its no crime.... but stop ruining it for the rest.

/ leaves on next run

cya's Saturday.

Making fun of somebody for making a joke about processors doesn't really work on an internet mapping forum.
