can someone explain exactly how to use IRC and to find the snarkpit channel?
it seems, you do a bit more than just turn it on as with ICQ or MSN.

I think this is a good point to get all the users here online into IRC!
It would be cool if everybody is online in IRC

I know this will sound like harping ... but ... personally I like chatzilla MUCH more then mirc ... (Chatzilla comes with a non-beta version of Mozilla and its integrated into the browser).

Download Mirc or some other IRC program. Anyone with trillian say so and I'll explain how to make it work for that (it's a tad annoying to get setup).
