A bin/cue file is a CD image.  You can open up Nero, or DiscJuggler, or whatever, and burn the CUE file as an image - it should point to the BIN for you.

I'd probably have to go with dBPowerAMP Music Converter. http://www.dbpoweramp.com/

That's what I use now for MP3 ripping, it works pretty well.

AudioGrabber will rip to WAV.  Just drop it into LAME (free MP3 encoder) and you'll have MP3s of all your ripped songs.

for the most part, edges proggy worked.. at least as well as any could have..

my plan, i checked out some audio books on cd from our library, for the most part, my cdr/w had no problem copying 1 to 1, but being from the library, you can imagine the abuse some of the disc's took...

my cdr/w balked at the ones heavily scratched. so i ripped the tracks that were salvageable, with the assistance of the proggy, and a bottle of scratch remover.. (miracle stuff), messy as hell but it rendered the disc's from useless to 95%.. i lost few enuff tracks that the story should be ok..

anyways.. thanx everyone

Oh, btw...

My friend (being foolish) decided to get all his music off his CDs using Windows Media Player. Now, when I want to...uh..."borrow" his music, I get all this re-registration bollox. Is there any program you know which converts the wma files (or whatever the hell they are) into mp3s and destroys all of this nastiness? Thanks!

seems to me, using nero, and copying 1 to 1, you would bypass the messages..

even if they were in mp3 format..

still the proggy edge posted... it can convert MP3, to MP3, i had to just redo some i downloaded, because nero didn't recognise the MP3 format it was, but it did recognise the MP3 after i reconverted it..

go figure

If you ever want to rip music from a CD I recommend CDex...it's free and does the job. If possible don't mix around with the "MS Crew"
