Just got 3D Mark 5 and ran it twice on my rig, I must say the graphics are amazing, as usual for this benchmarking program. Of course all settings were pre-determined by the free version, and I must say that my rig was put to the test on this one folks. The last two tests, I experienced graphic glitches on the splash/load screens, and never got more than 4 fps during either test. my score was:

1st time 3711

2nd time(after a patch install)3720

I compared this to similiar rigs and found myself just a few points below average (the highest in an identical rig was 3744 I believe). I also noticed that I could almost double the score if I upgrade to a 3.2gh cpu. Have to look into that(hehehe). Anybody else have their results?

That would make sense since they're main form of "functionality" is frames per second, that's really showing what your processor is doing in conjunction with your video card.

You have to have a current generation card to use it, Orph. If you want to test your overal performance you want mark 3 or 4 (Not that it matters since 3DMark doesn't tell you much of anything, just looks pretty).

I tried telling you. Only last generation cards have Pixel Shader 2.0 (DX9) abilities (New generation has 3.0, right? I'm not sure because I don't have one).

Your 9600XT will probably run it not very well. I believe Mark 5 is meant for the current generation mostly; taking that your CPU is about 2.4, the FPS wont be that great either.
