Well, here are the pictures I promised last week.   These where all taken in a 3 story massive abandoned military hospital in Alameda near "Alameda point".   In total I think I took around 150 1200 X 1600 pictures.   I wanted to take more but I couldn't find a place that sold my cameras memory so I had to settle with 150  .

First here are some pictures of the inside (reduced to 400 X 300 and lower level jpeg), I'm sure even non texture artists can see the potential in a place like this.   Over all it was a pretty cool experience, I plan on doing more shoots like this.

Eventually I'll create a texture set based off of the pictures.

First here is the "Webster tunnel" that passes bellow the water from Oakland to Alemeda Island.   I wanted to see how my camera would handle the motion while driving.

Here are some misc pictures from different areas of the building:

Here are some pictures of the outside and surrounding buildings, the 3rd is from the second story

The next two are shots in the second and third story hall ways, you can make out some details but it was actually pretty dark in about 75% of the building, at some points I actually had to take shots and wait for them to show up on my cameras screen before I could see what was in front of me:

Here are just a few of the pictures that where taken while the sole purpose of sampling for textures:

Nice photos, if you make those into textures, they'll be really good.

I see some real potential for a nice map out of that too, reminds me of some of the HL2 videos.

Thanks guys, I'm definetly going to release a texture pack from this picture shoot.   It should be cool to just go through and edit the images.

I want to go back and shoot some more from the site some time, I wanted to get more shots from the exterior but ran out of memory.

Witch reminds me, theres a cool brick-floor covering my school, and a stony one surrounding the outside. Might look cool in a map (specially when you know where they?re from)
