Well this is the hopeful MSN picture of me tonight, dressed as Spike
(James Marsters) from the old TV Series Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I'm
British and dressing up, so re-do the topic title. Some of us celebrate
Halloween

I'm glad people are making the effort. Northern Ireland has always
celebrated halloween, and I think its catching on over in England too.

Halloween is boring. Its only fun when you get the chance to give kids little rat poison caramel candies.

Not a single kid has been here yet asking for candy... what has happened to the swedish kids...

I guess people over here don't take Halloween very seriously. It seems
as if this day is of greater importance in the US and other countries.

Yes because as we all know Halloween brings a much greater significance in people's lives than the day of America's founding.

well, i realize that its not quite as exciting as the spanish inquisition was, but the salem witch trials are a part of the history you mention.. i personally am not to thrilled with that portion of american history, but i suppose all our countries have their black sheep events

That's not what he said at all... He was merely saying that other countries don't seem to care about Halloween, whereas Americans do... Not that Halloween held greater importance over other American hollidays.

I had to pass out candy to little kids, argh... not so bad except for the fact that the f**kers rang the doorbell at like 9:30, even though the light was off... punk-ass bastards.

On the plus side, I went to visit my friend at Arco and the power was out, so free pizza/soda, whoo. And we got to laugh at the complete morons who walked in even though there was a huge sign on the door that said "CLOSED: POWER OUT." Ah well, it's America, we're free to be stupid.

Now that the night is over and my take home calculus test is still unfinished: I'll talk about tonight.

I "helped out" at a friend's haunted house. It sucked balls. Mainly because he never took any of my suggestions.

My Suggestions:

Zombies in the backyard eating a person, then grabbing a person in the group of people (who is part of the haunted house) and biting them. Blood would gush from their neck and the zombies would continue to rip them apart. If done properly (which isn't that hard) it would have scared the s**t out every person who would have seen it.

A room with the walls covered with latex or some elastic. Mixed with a recorded video of some guy yelling at everyone to leave, of course that would be hooked up to some very large speakers and a woofer or two. At some point arms would come through holes in the walls, floor and ceiling.

Some other ideas:

bleeding walls.
pressure closing rooms.
f**ked up carnival entrance, with disproportioned hallways and slanted floors.

I have a fairly decent idea of how to make it all work. Throw in cheesy ass gags before a lot of that stuff and to make those things appear to be more spontaneous ... anyway, I'm babbling ...

And I wasn't aware I had an illegitimate child ... who lives in California ... and I would have had to produce when I was 6 ...

My parents emailed this to me last night, I thought it was hilarious. Attached was a message saying how this was the only "trick or treater" that came by the house.
Oh, and yes, my father is obsessed with monkeys too. What can I say, it's genetic.

Just thought I'd share that with you all to let you know that I'm not the only crazy one in my family.
