I have googled in for a sprite editor and can't seem to find one. I know that VERC has Sprite Wizard but I believe that is for creating new sprites and not editing current ones from games. I remember finding a download for a sprite editor somewhere and someone pointing me to a tutorial on sprite editing but I can't seem to find either one.

The sprite viewer on the utilities page lets you cycle through the sprites individual frames, and export them as .bmp's. I think these are what you want to edit. The link that Orpheus gave you is to the sprite wizard, which can compile your edited .bmp's into a new sprite.

All of the .bmp's in your sprite must share the same 256 colour palette.

What I mainly want to do is edit the sprites so the I can get say something like rain to drip down and not always face the player. If sprite wizard can do that then that will do fine. Also I saw a tutorial on editing sprites like that somewhere but I can't find it anywhere and I even tried google, but nothing came up that I could use. So if someone knows of a tut let me know please.

One of our very own members, Jinx, has a really good tutorial on his site for the sprites you mean, Spartan.

Thanks Fishy that's the exact tut I have been looking for. I read through it before a few months back but then I somehow couldn't find it again.
