Hi mate, good to see you here
This problem definately isn't down to a leak, as a leak would
simple make the whole map fullbright all the time. I seems that at
certain angles, your cliff is being rendered fullbright but not at
others. Does this problem ever occur in single player HL2, or have you
seen it
in any CS:S maps? Might be a graphics issue rather than a mapping one -
what spec computer have you got, and what settings are you running with
(specifically, which DirectX version are you running CS:S in)? If you
have multiple computers you may want to test it on another, or you
could send it to me and I'll check how it is on mine.

I've seen this before, on half-life. I think it's either a csg or rad error...not sure.

I got the map and took a look, and sure enough the problem occured on
my computer as well, taking a look at the VMF I figured out what is
causing it. You have used a material on your cliffs that is meant for
models. Its annoying that they are included to browse in hammer but
basically, don't use them, as they will be lit up wierdly.
In your scenario, you would be better off using one of the "blend"
textures and using the "paint alpha" tool in the displacement surface
tool to paint sand at the base of your cliffs.

You can tell by checking the material name - it was part of the
"models" folder. It does look a bit unorthodox for a model skin, but if
you look at dust2 you will see that its rocks are models using it. Just
make sure you check the name of the material to ensure its part of a
reasonable group, I think models, effects and a few others cause
problems like this.

********** I have this problem with my whole map indoors. Here is the problem the reflections off walls and objects changes depending on the lighting where my player is standing *********** If I am standing in a shawdow the wals in the room change darker if I step back out of the room into sunlight the walls in the room get bright. For my whole map the lighting indoors fluctuates depending exactly what light is hitting my player. Why is this happening and how do i stop it please help!!!!
