ok well, im kind of stuck with that one, but one major annoyance i'm having that i hope someone can help me with, i've a florescent light, which has the apearance of a flickering florescence, which works ok, except when i'm near the light, but far from a tree, the tree lights up partially fullbright (white) in tune to the flickering, yet the tree is on the other side of a brush from the florescent light, and some distance away from it

Models do not emit light as far as I know. You just need to use a skillfull combination of the following entities to make them look good: light; light_spot; env_lightglow.
One question per thread. post a new topic about your tree-model problem.
