I know this is exactly the right thing to post here but i thought everyone should know, maybe its happened you?
I was just running round my newly compiled map, looking for problems etc. When someone tried to join.
I wasnt hosting a game, just running a map. I didn't realise that just because i have Steam open and online that users have the option to connect to my machine. True that the player was automatically kicked, or at least i think. Still very worrying though.

Or before you open your map you can type "sv_lan 0" in the console.
