Every since Half-life 2 came out, now with (map editing enabled), with
its damn cool graphics and realism, Ived noticed there has been a
increasing number of people who have been switching their mapping life
to half-life 2 from its predecessor: half-life 1.
Then what happens to all the half-life 1 maps with so much cool things
and limit-pushed realism made from pros and working-together-noobs?
Dont you think that is such a waste, I mean 1,000,000,000 of a
pushed-to-the-limits map. (im being sarcastic with the number)
Then doesnt that mean alot of them will just think: "Its been so much
years since I made this half-life 1 map with awesome gameplay and
superior editing and yet it wont even be half as good as a half-life2
noob's map.."
So my questiong is: Is it possible to convert a half-life 1 map to a
half-life 2 map keeping all its entities and objects without even
redoing a single editing?

I didn't understand a word of that besides the last sentence.
And yes, it's easy - HL2 Hammer can open up .rmfs. The difficulty is just in placing props, converting textures, etc.

What about a HL2 mod which would have all the HL1 entities in it? Could it be done?

If you have any entities in HL1 that are not in HL2, you may have to
code them in yourself. I don't see how you can do that without the
source SDK for the Source engine.

Open your RMF or MAP in the new hammer. You can port over all the old textures to HL2 (but they will look crap) and you have to redo almost all entities, all texturing... I've found it is easier to just use your HL1 map as a basis and remake it from scratch for HL2 to be honest. Far too much hassle converting it.
And for the first question- yes, maps have become all icing and no cake- just like the Single player half-life 2.
