is there a way to make a door open vertically? i want it sort of like
an elevator, but its going to be invisible so they dont know its there
:smile: . I tried setting a direction for the door but it seems not to move
at all when i stand on it. Thanks for any help in advance, cheers.

You either set the direction to "up" or "down" on the compass dial. I can't remember which, because there is an entity for which these directions are reversed in game. If you already tried "up" try "down".

It's "up" if you want to simulate the typical HL lab door.

Make a brush out of tools/clip texture if you want it invible then tie
to enity func/door and select up form the drop down menu like they said.

Ok I sort of got it working but its really weird when I play it,
because it doesnt seem to move at all (visually), instead when i walk
over it...after about .5 seconds i fall through. lol. But it actually
gave me an idea, because since its a vantage point, and its directly
above the bomb site, a little loss of health can be the price for such
a great spot :smile: . Thanks for your help guys.
