happy birthday, I LOVE your avatar-caption. I have not seen Dark|Killer or habboi around for quite a while... Why the prolonged fuss about them.

It's a not so subtle way of trying to stop them, and people in general,
mentioning no names, posting like complete and utter morons. We demand
standards for our discussion, but banning just induces a backlash of
"LOLZ LOLZ I HAX YOO".

We crush cretinism, but not free speech  Or something...

Gwil, you're so great. Anyway, I was initially attracted to SnarkPit because there was not all this "LoLErSkaTeZX Ur MOM S3X0RZ LOL RFMLAO HalO R00Lz." (points to steampowered forums)

Dark|Killer: Disregarding the content of your posts and focusing on the writing style, you'll notice that yourself and Habboi have distinctive mannerisms. You always randomly use ellipsis in the middle of sentances and three question marks. One question mark is sufficient. This is not me, or anyone else being grammar Nazis, but the simple fact is that it stands out from all the other posts in a thread, which are written like you would find in a book for example. It shouldn't stand out, as it looks ugly, and even if you were explaining the meaning of life it would still annoy people!

The only place where typing with these traits is acceptable is in IRC etc, where you are typing in conversation in real time.

You'll notice at the bottom of your posts there is a little edit button. This allows you to change any spelling mistakes etc. that make your post stick out like a sore thumb. Also you can update or delete information, which means that you never have to repeatedly post underneath as something new comes into your head.

Read your post before clicking submit, then reread it when you have submitted it. Does it make sense? Is there anything else you want to say? Does that word look right?

People don't type messily because they don't have to. The great thing about forums is that they will be there when you wake up the next day, so there's no excuse not to take your time.

Please have a quick read of these and see how they are properly used:

Yeah Dark, I was actually having a "tongue in cheek" joke, but what
Mephs has said is good advice. Most of all the question mark business

Using extra ?'s is a de-facto way of adding emphasis to a question. Ellipsis is another way of saying "etcetera". Putting punctuation inside quotation marks is silly.

I don't like that site much Mephs. It turns my scrollbar into McDonald's.
