Im planning on buying a game called call of duty soon, Its editor afaik will be much like radiant as I think its built on the Q3 engine.

anyway, I know one of you lads uses it, I would really appreciate a link to the editor & perhaps a few newb tuts.

Ta.

I've had a dabble with GTKRadiant with making MOHAA maps- it's actually a pretty good editor once you figure it out, although the camera moving system is crap :/ Get it from http://qeradiant.com/ and have a dabble with some other games- e.g. make some HL maps if you can figure it out- although I'm guessing you'll need a modified version for Call Of Duty...

GTKRadiant is a very nice editor. Patches are fun to work with and they can create some rather interesting geometry without the need for a modeling program. It's really just a step from WC, you may just have to learn little more external stuff, such as shader scripts to do the lighting for textures and sky lighting. But trust me, it's worth learning.

I use GTKRadiant... I have actually come to prefer it over WC ...

/me slaps Leperous! The camera system rocks! You just have to modify the controls to suit your needs

In response to the 'patches being fun' bit... Yeah, patches are nice, but try not to overuse them. I think geometry always looks better when made by hand.

If you need any help PM me, email, post topic, aim, whatever

Bah, I'm just bitter because I never found out how to make it as good as WC's camera, which should win a "The Best Editing Program Camera Ever" award if they ever had them.

wad
pathtowad/etc/wad.wad

I entered my path to halflife.wad but it doesnt do anything.

when I press T there are no textures but the shader not found or somesuch one.

How do I define the Wad's I wish to use?

Hmm... I've actually never used wads with radiant, I always use jpeg/tga... Also, I was trying to send you my shortcuts file, while greatly improves the camera movement (makes it similar to WC)
