You use better search keys. What are you looking for?

crono and i did an unofficial experiment, and i came to the conclusion that all google searches are not created equal.
if we both searched for the exact same thing. we both came up with different results.
google, must use regional area searches or some such.
/me shuts up now.

Make sure everything is spelled right
Strange as it might seem, there are some things that gasp cannot be found on the net.

I'm not particuraly looking for anything I was just wondering what it is you guys do when you can't find what your looking for.
Hey Orph, I did the same thing with a friend of mine and there does seem to be something regional related with google's search engine. I've tried other search engines just to experiment with and so far Google seems to be the best. Also I noticed that changing a few words or spellings when doing a search doesn't make much of a change.
P.S. sorry about my bad grammar.

I change the search phrase, usually by adding words that I think will be used in the context of my search and using the - operator to exclude words (rough example, if I was searching for a Half-Life 2 compile error but wasn't interested in HL1 results, I'd add "vbsp" to my search, and think about using "-hlbsp"). You have to think about avoiding the potholes of false results and direct the stupid search engine down the route you want it to go.
Of course, the problem is with the English language and its non-standardisation, and I'm sure the next evolution in worldwide-used language will be some technology/heavily-information-friendly form
