It looks better than the initial release, but I still think it's a bit too dark. But if that's the mood you're going for, that's fine. Just know that the majority of the players like it somewhat lighter so at least they can see each other.

not to bitch, but the forums are set up so you can have "chapters" of a sort so you do not have to begin new threads over the same maps.

well, tell you what, i want higher fps (they are about 30) try to get
them at least around 50, work with some areaportals and hint brushes,
and then, make a 3d skybox, cus just like my map
(http://www.snarkpit.com/maps.php?map=1779) it looks very "hl1"

unfortunately i couldnt use a 3d skybox had a lot of practice with em.
I did have a sky camera set up but if u snipe from the balcony u can see through my nodraw textures on some of the house. it was either box the whole level and mask the areas or go for blank skybox of just the back garden.
Hopefully in release 3 the front door will be useable and ill have the full garden to play with in which case im gonna use the 3d syboxes and me skycameras, fog , sun etc.
i did try it with a skybox and just the back garden but imo it looked better with the dark texture on the sky to simulate the darkness.
Also the map ran a bit faster without it.
I may need some help on hint brushing tho i tryed setting them up but it didnt seem to have much effect on the bsp. Gonna try and occlude all the rooms fer version 3 also
Just wanna see if i can get this one on the server to see if its worth me going further with it for u guys

Looking much better!
Lighting is better and it shouldn't be too hard to make a good 3D skybox!
Roate it around if the objects are not in the right side of your sky!
