For the past week or so, all OpenGL Programs on my PC have started flickering. Including HL.

By flickering, I mean the screen switches between the image, and complete white-ness at the same refresh rate as the program runs at. It does this forever and will only stop if I [ALT+TAB] out of the app, and back in again. And it also happens only in Full Screen mode. It doesn't happen if I run the programs in Windowed mode.

I've tried fiddling with the VSync settings, the FSAA settings and the Page Flipping but I can't solve this. Does anyone know how to fix the damn thing? I cant find anything on the interweb, and nothing on NVIDIA's site either.

I'm running on a P4, 2.4Ghz with a GF4 MX 440 and WinXP Professional. Also, in the case of HL alone, when I exit the game, it crashes with an error in "nvoglnt.dll".

If anyone could point me in the right direction for a fix, I'd be much obliged. (God this problem is annoying  )

Already tried that. It didn't help, and neither did the various refresh-rate fixes available. Bah.

Gawd, It's more M$ madness. I should have searched MS.com. I seem to have found it there anyway...

If anyone has a similar problem, try this:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;312505

Service Packs. I should've known  .

For all the wacky and horrible problems I've ever had, I've never ever reinstalled the OS, imho it's a complete waste of time as new drivers or patches or funny settings more often than not solve things...

A very, very bad 56K line, with a large part of the wiring done by yours truly... If I orient it right, I can even pick up TV signals.

Today on SnarkTV, Fraggard attempts to correct video card problems while Lep is still fighting off the rogue snark invasion in the pit.  The helpful snarks have been beaten back and are no held up in a sock drawer in Orph's room.  KungFuSquirrel declares himself the God of all Mapping and enlists Reno as his high priest.  Will a new order come to the pit, will rogue snarks pop after a certain amount of time, will Fraggard fix his card so he can once again take his place among the rest of the crew, find out...whenever these problems are solved, today, or tomorrow, or maybe next week on, SnarkTV!
