They don't "take" them, they make 'em themselves. I'm sorry to say but
you're going to have to learn how to make buildings yourself. But don't
be tempted to use the hollow tool on a block and then use a smaller
cube to subtract the windows cause that is plain stupid. Make the whole
thing piece by piece; first make a wall with a window add the
windowframe and all you feel like adding and then multiply. Add a floor
and a roof divide the thing into rooms etc until you have a full floor.
And then just multiply it. It's much easier this way than hollowing.
If you don't feel like working, then I guess you could sink low and
steal someone else's work with a decompiler. But you'll find it easier
making a building from scratch than fixing all of those annoying
decompilation flaws.

same as anything really, the best way to learn is to get stuck in and mess about.. your gonna make several s**tty maps before you make a half decent one, so dont worry if you screw up, you can always start again.
the way i do things at the start is i just build basic blocks for buildings whilst i do other things, and rotate around the map gradually building up detail. sometimes deleting things all together and making them up again from scratch - they always look better second time around because A: you have a better idea of what you want it to look like and B: you have the surounding scenery to judge scale.
go on try it
