I was cruisin the Source sound files and found a folder called 'tripwire'. In the folder is only one file, named 'ropeshoot.wav'. It is a sound I have never heard...was it ingame and I missed it?

The sound bit is used in Ravenholm when you release the suspended-car squish machines. However, there were a whole lotta odd weapons in HL2 that were scrapped, like an ice-axe (faster than crowbar, less damage), or the incendiary rifle, which is what the OSIPR was originally. The OICW was the thing used instead of the OSIPR. There was also a brick bat, which I think turned into the lead pipe used by that guy in the Canals to ward off manhacks. yeah, i have THE FORbidden Knowledge (The Fork)...
The Plane, my ongoing HL2 comic.

Yeah I noticed that pipe the guy was holding so it must be able to be used as a weapon if coded...

Some nice people have already modelled the HL2 weapons taken out and coded them in.
