As can be seen in this screenshot, for some reason a chunk of my map isn't being lit up by my light_environment- it looks like I've accidentally placed a giant NODRAW brush over it all, but I haven't, and there's nothing in the sky casting shadows (if there was, then the roofs would be darkened too)

Anyone else had something similar? It's not to do with displacement surfaces, and I've tried cordon compiling- the problem goes away if only a small part of the level around this area is selected, but I can't narrow it down to a specific area somewhere else in the map causing this.

Ok, I've actually fixed this- turns out that there was a chunk of SKYBOX in my 3D skybox which would be transposed to overlap this part of the map :smile:

well... I guess its good to also note that some skybox props should
have their shadows turned off becuase they can cast shadows on your map
in a wierd way.

Yeah, I've had that one before too. Just gotta be careful where the 3D skybox is located. :smile:
