I have func_precipitation brushes covered in the particle/rain texture
covering most of my map, but I have a weird situation in an area where
I don't have a func_precipitation brush.
When I stand in the said area, there is rain in that area. When I
move out of it (and into a func_precipitation entity), the rain in the
first area stops. The rain was always going on in the
func_precipitation entity. Now, the rain in the first area falls
even if there is a ceiling to block the rain. I don't want rain
to fall where there is no func_precipitation entity - Is that too much
to ask?
All the func_precipitation entities on my map work correctly, its just
this one area where there is no func_precipitation where rain is
falling, and I don't know how to stop it from falling.

did you make all the precipitation brushes in your map part of the same func_precipitation? That could be the problem.

Thanks a bunch, Doc!
Yes, all my precipitation brushes were part of the same
func_percipitation, and after I made them each their own
func_percipitation, the problem went away. Thanks again!

Hey Imbrifer, it's Buckshot from the FF boards, I just recognized
you! Since Doc gave you the solution could you just click on the
Yes button above his post next to the question "Did this answer your
problem?" (or something like that). That way it will mark this
thread as solved so others searching for an answer to the same question
will find it here. I know it's very easy to miss.
