... You're kidding right? Perhaps it is not used for HL/HL2, but if you
intend to map for Q3, any of the games based on Q3 engine, or Doom3,
you'd best learn to use Radiant. It is THE most used editor for id
games. In fact, I'm going to come right out and say it. Radiant is
better than Hammer in my opinion.
I've used both several years and Radiant simply is better overall. I
won't say everything about Radiant is better (Hammer edges it out in a
few areas), but overall I'd choose Radiant over hammer. It's much
harder to learn to use initially, but once you get the hang of it you
don't want to go back. I only use hammer to edit for Source because..
well, I hate Quark, and there is no Source version of Radiant (...yet
^_^). Should there come to be a version of Radiant for Source (based
upon Gtk-Radiant 1.4) I would switch in a heartbeat.
But in reply to MadMan's question, I would venture that you receive no
response because hardly anyone here uses Radiant. Your post would
receive more response from a place like Map-Center, or CoD oriented
editing forums. I suggest you seek them out.
