hello all, im currently taking a photoshop class, and were suppose to take a damaged photo and touch it up, well i found this horribley damaged old penny

well, anyways im currently attempting to restore this penny as close to mint as possible, please let me know what you think...and those of you who have any pointers, please let me know of anything i should use to help me further this...thnx.

always use urls, img tags slow everything down for 56k'ers.

Altough, im currently on an OC-14 line :biggrin:

btw, what you've done so far looks excelent, but prehaps tone down the area where the hole was - it looks a little too bright

yes, i am using a mix of the clone tool, patch tool, and pattern maker tool :biggrin:

orph, the only problem is i dont have the other side to this exact penny, and therefore the end results may vary for each side, i also have a limited time, and special requirements to keep with, but thnx alot for the idea.

Looking real good man.. I wish I could goto school and learn that stuff. =) But Im just a poor white man.. heh..

I just bought Photoshop.. and I love it.. but I have no clue how to use it.. but Im messing around here and there.. the logo to my site was made with PhotoShop.

well MS, i learned alot of photoshop on my own...but the fact is that the latest photoshop 7.0 has SOOOOO much to it that i desided to take a class on it ($50 classbook+$80 class+$20 extra_BS_charges=$150) not that much :razz:

for the most part, it works as a wonderful text editor

P.S. not bad on the header :biggrin:

I wonder if my city has a class thing like that.. if so I may do that too.

And Doc thats why Im a poor White man.. =) lol

But yeah I found a cool tutorial on how to do the alien text.. its really cool.. I may just do that DOC.. Id like to learn how to do more graphical stuff.

Thanks Sinner.. That was like the 15th version of that, one was the alien text I spoke of above.. I like the one on there now alot.

yaXay has some really good photoshop tutorials and alot of other good tutorials for other programs.

Also Photoshpocafe has some realy good tutorials.

Theose two sites helped me alot when I started out and they are still helping me.
