More photons would reduce the blotchyness, and reducing the bias should remove those white outlines where it meets the wall. Consider just using an area light without final gather so that you don't have to bother with rendering glitches/final gather times.
Also bevel the part cut out for the loop to go through, you're missing an important highlight.

My render times were not that bad. About 1 and 1/2 mins. As for the
lighting, its all new to me. I will give what you said a go when I get
more time. Thanks for the small critique.

Yeah! I'm stuck right now trying to think of things to model that
aren't really hard, but are original (as in not in every mod and
such). Very pretty Sephiroth :smile:
I get the same kind of blochiness on the chrome in my models, but
talking about photons doesn't help me at all :biggrin: I'm still realy
out in the open, I don't use any lights at all. Anyone know a
tutorial that just talks about the basics of lighting? I've been
unsuccessful in my search.
Nice first non-tut model :smile: Keep up the good work.
