Look at the slopes of the slanted edges of the triangles and the quadrilaterals. The triangles have a slope (rise over run) of 3/8, while the quadrilaterals have a slope of 2/5. Obviously, this means they can't be placed flush on each other to recreate a rectangle as the animation attempts to do. The small amount of error in this, throughout the whole thing, adds up to a difference of one block.

I never saw that in the picture version of this same puzzle, however in the video, the angle is quit obviously odd.

if you do the math, rise over run for the hypotenuse as the objective you will see they do not match... gj mazey, and you too cash.....thats ist year trig....woot!

That one actually is true, but obviously, you can't rearrange shapes in something cut out like that and expect it to make the same figure.

Except it's exactly the same thing, heck the slopes of the two diagonals involved are exactly the same. It's a bit more subtle though.
