Hey ,I have one BIG problem. I have a CreAtive SoundBlaster Live! 5.1. It's supposed to be a god card, but I can't use the microphone with it. the only way the microphone works is with Creative's own software. Now, I want t use the voice-comm programs

Oh my god.
1 week to find the drivers.
1 week to install the drivers.
2 minutes to realise that the volume control is BIOS-related.

Heh, that's exactly right. I'm using the OSS drivers right now, but hopefully with some hacking I can get the ALSA drivers working. But hey, it's working now.

ha ha, I never thought of that. Mine seems to work in an Window environment, but not Linux is why. . .well . . . at least you have new drivers too lol.
