Can't say i didn't see this coming.
Good thing though. Im still trying to delete enough displacements so my map will compile. and i still have to work on lighting sound and even add more terrain.
Reality has become a commodity.

I don't see any entry updates. Are you all going to hide your work until it's finished?

I think that's what most people do.

With traveling last long weekend here and a mountain of job-work I'm still only at 75%. I'm just not cut out for deadlines with this stuff. But just like the last contest I don't care about disqualification really. Hope to have something soon...

Well, It's been well-past the due date for the entries, and the only one I received was aaron's map. So that makes two entries. I talked with RedWood, and he apparently has a map on the way but I didn't see it in my e-mail yet. This is why I haven't started a voting thread yet. If it turns out to be only these two maps, then I won't bother with a voting thread. and we can critique them in this thread and/or wait for the authors to make map profiles for them.

-And that's the update.

Ok, I just received RedWood's entry about 10 minutes ago, we can wait on a reply from reaper or go through with the voting thread which I won't be able to write tonight anyway; I have a test I need to study for tomorrow after classes today.

So Reap and anyone else has a little more time to speak up!

After clearing numerous hurdles concocting this nonsense, I've run into one I can't fathom regarding displacement rendering. Here is an unfinished version.

http://www.filefront.com/14731175/altair_hl2_.rar/

This probably doesn't even belong here in this thread as it breaks contest rules and should be disqualified, apart from being hugely late. I had intended to conform but wandered far afield of my original idea.

This runs under HL2 SP. Be sure to check the readme for technical info!!

Sorry guys, didn't get to map a single brush lately. I re-started from scratch 3 times, never got out of orange box state. Total creative burnout. sigh :|
