Got WON?

Does anybody here have Half life 1.5, aka the version that DOESN'T suck? (I'm looking at you, steam!)

If so, then add my steam and maybe we can play a game sometime. :3

And I think you have to go back to like 1.3 or later to get a version of CS that does not suck. I wish they came out with the version they put in the game magazines... the suicide belts and the shields all were awesome. To bad it was just a demo CD and not a full game. =(

DOH my bad.. I'm a CounterStrike player more than Half Life.. so anytime I see HL I think engine that runs CS. My bad sorry. That still begs the question can it still be downloaded in steam?

I play cs:s more than half life, and I barely play either any more

Nope, you can get the steam version of half life, but that's... the steam version :S

You'll have to buy a original half life cd from '98, or you know...

Dude I think that comment was prejudice the Steam version of Half-Life is actually better than the WON version of Half-Life.

WON servers have been taken down. You can install old version of half life, however you wont find any servers up.

PS: can you please stop the bashing of steam? You've stated your point countless times on these message boards, we get it: you like the ol' ways, which is fine, just stop bashing steam already because here we have accepted the change for the most part.

I've got both. But I leave my WON version back home cause I don't use it anymore. But I have the WON version of all the old goldsource games too, but their steam counterparts are just -better. or the same.

i still got all the original versions, steam isn't too bad anymore these days either, i never get any shit with it, so i dont know why people still try to avoid it so much.

if you want i'll sell you my original half life 1 in the box for 9000$!

Some time ago I looked the old half-life version up at youtube and it bringed back so many memories. I really miss it
It's sad that steam messed up the menu.

My brother hates steam and never wants to use it. I don't know why though, lol.
