It's been a while since I have played around in hammer and I was wondering if anyone could recall for me the keystroke that allows you to rotate and skew solids by clicking and moving its selection handles.

You can just click on the object again (i.e. selecting it) in 2d view to cycle through the various tools. Easier than a keyboard shortcut, I think.
Or is that even what you're asking? Forgive my lack of comprehension.

Clicking twice on the object brings up rotation - to automatically snap to 15 degree increments, hold down shift and then click on one of the corner handles and drag. I personally find this quicker and easier than opening up a window and typing in values, but whatever suits your fancy
A third click brings up the skew tool, which will always snap to grid.

I do it the KFS way, but I also set the option to always only do 15 degree rotations.

Sometimes I get crazy and do a much finer rotation, so I like to have that option available just in case. But that's pretty rare.

Well, Orph, I didn't see it as so much an answer as an expansion to an existing one, but if you say so...
The nice thing is there's a number of options to do the same thing in many cases, as we see right here. Yay personal preference!

Thanks for the replies, knowing more than one solution to a problem is always helpful. I'm pretty sure your method (KFS) is the same I used to use.

I could be wrong, but I think setting the "Snap to 15 degrees" option just switches the two- IE holding Shift and clicking on a corner will make it NOT snap to 15 degrees if the option is enabled.
