Who is up for doing that? As I know most of us are using Gamesurge.net and I think it would be alot easier if we switched the IRC channel to Gamesurger.net... please give us your thoughts thanks

Some people tried to start a #snarkpit on Gamesurge before. It eventually died down, I think. Myrk, me, Flashdevil, and occasionaly Hawkins were the only ones who ever used it much. Just go to the Quakenet one - it isn't much trouble, really.

So essentially: No, it would not work. People have tried many times. They have all failed. MUAHAHAHA.

I don't use it much (though I should, I'm online loads) but its always
the Quakenet one I use. As its the only real channel I use, I wouldn't
care what network it is on.

No offence, but i've reiterated this point thousands (exaggeration
ahoy!) of times.. the "other" snarkpit channel used to be on gamespy
(or similar, i cant remember - it was gamexxx of some description. The
quakenet snarkpit is regular, reliable (occasionally slow) and the
official bots, which we have (c/o Scary Jeff) are opers - therefore
giving us ultimate security..

Stay on Quakenet, its easier.

I was thinking about this and thought that couldn't some IRC scripting wiz-kid make some kind of bot that connects to both servers #snarkpit channels, and repeats the conversations between them? So me on quakenet says 'hi', and on gamesnet, the bot says 'scary_jeff: hi', etc. Obviously it would screw up if people were on both servers, but maybe this could be some kind of solution?

What's the point of having the two servers? I think we should all
stick to one, especially since you can be on multiple servers at once
anyway, it's not an inconvenience to have one, while it is an
inconvenience to have two.

Just stick to quakenet.

Connect with jubiigames.dk.quakenet.org

it's a fast server, better than the default one.

I didn't think there was a default? I thought you normally select 'random EU server' [if EU is your region]?

I have a scrip that does that two server linking thing...i used to use it on my old clan's channel....we had to have one on gamesurge because of some leagues rules or something....either wayi have a working bot and im online alot. I would be no trouble to set 'er up again.

Yes, but somehow he always picks a slow ass box, and never the fast denmark server.

This week's favorite quote in #snarkpit:
<Myrk> like Baywatch, Pam may go to hospital with a boob
injury or something, but we know she will always pull through
fine
